| Manager, Program - COMMUNITY HEALTH SCIENCES - SPH&TM - HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER, 3054 |
| JOB DUTIES: Hires, trains, and supervises data collectors, including staff responsible for community surveys and interviews, observations in neighborhoods, and focus groups; collects data as needed; coordinates with research team. Develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates intervention activities related to the core research project, which seeks to improve the food environment in low-income New Orleans neighborhoods. This includes meeting with community partners and constituents, coordinating community-based activities, coordinating personnel assignments, and working closely with the PI to develop, direct and supervise implementation of activities related to study protocols. Works with data analyst to analyze data that are collected. Oversees grant-related expenditures (including time sheets of hourly workers, supplies, and minor equipment) and assures that expenditures stay within budget Conducts other activities related to research as assigned. REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s degree with five years professional experience in community organization and/or community-based research OR Master’s degree in public health. PREFERRED: Community outreach and organization experience is preferred. Evaluation or research experience is preferred.
